Biden Administration Clarifies EMTALA Protections Apply Unless You Need Them

As reported by AP News today, the US Department of Health and Human Services determined that denying a woman in a medical emergency caused pregnancy complications a medically necessary abortion does not violate the EMTALA.

We reached out to HHS for a comment on this developing story and through a spokesperson HHS provided the following clarification “While everyone has the right to emergency medical treatment they forfeit that right if they attempt to seek treatment at a hospital or doctor. We recommend that anyone facing a life threatening pregnancy related condition find a quiet place to die where it won’t inconvenience anyone else.”

For additional comment we also contacted the Biden campaign who provided the following statement. “Rest assured President Biden will hold as many press conferences as it takes for American women to believe he is fighting for their rights so long as it doesn’t involve actually taking any substantive action.”

This news comes at an awkward time for the Biden Campaign, who are retooling to focus on abortion rights and the President’s lack of any meaningful accomplishments protecting the freedoms and lives of American women.

If you or someone you know needs assistance with terminating a pregnancy there are organizations who may be able to help.
