State Department Revives "Don't Ask Don't Tell" Policy for Violations of International Law

Providing additional clarity on the policy of not evaluating if military aid provided by the US is used in compliance with International Law, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken announced that he was reviving the policy of “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” with respect to violations of International Law.

At a Press Conference in Tel Aviv Blinken announced the new policy. “US Law has long required the State Department to ensure that weapons are not provided to countries that violate human rights. This really ties the administrations hands when evidence of war crimes committed using those weapons comes to light. With this new policy, we can be sure that it won’t be possible to hear about any potential war crimes so the weapons can keep flowing.” said Blinken before running from the room with aides covering his eyes and ears with their hands.
